Cheers! Pooped after Archaeology Club with the kids discussing remembrance (internationally) and recording five war memorials in a local church (1904, ‘14-‘18, ‘39-‘45). Chatty picnic lunch in an aisle with some of the volunteer team afterwards. More importantly, Habas Fritas! #ConfinedCocktails

This evening has included…removing the muffles after All Souls and Remembrance Sunday ringing 🔔

The clapper end, painted blue, includes part of the shaft, the spherical ball and the trapezoidal flight. V useful gardening, the water board came to survey for possible water meter installation, then I went to the new exhibition at Wiltshire Museum (v good). Struggling with the thermostat and sensor in the bathroom, hope I don’t need to call out a sparks. Missed Alex as a result. #ConfinedCocktails

After yesterday’s rain and very low cloud, Cornwall is looking lovely again. Enjoying my last 50 minutes before I take the bus to the train station. Heading home after a week on site (digging, which is rare for me). Sea swimming each day after work was a great balm for aching muscles!

Sorry for the delay, the food came after the beer and no signal all night. #ConfinedCocktails is out in a pub at the end of the tower outing. V good. But when I get home I simply must do two bits of remaining admin before finalising packing for tomorrow’s train to Cornwall and excavation. Oh no.
