Been a while since I had any art time so sharing one of my favorite drawings from last year. This is Ivan a peacock that lived at a bird sanctuary I volunteered at. He only had one wing and loved to sneak up behind me. Done using ballpoint pen.

This is so very true
I feel bad about my art (or lack thereof) pretty frequently so just know if you also feel bad about your own art, you’re not alone. Every single artist I know no matter how *amazing* they are still questions their skills, creativity, etc. The doubt means there’s growth and change and that’s okay.

It's nose day. There was a lot of great people watching today, so decided to put some work into drawing people. I challenged myself for 30min to draw every nose that passed by me.

I gave my toddler a sketchbook and his own bonbon (what he calls all drawing implements), and we had a peaceful sketch session. I think the duckling is close to done. I hope you get some time to unwind with whatever re-energizes you.

These 4 pieces will be available for purchase at the Black and White Show today (4/19/25) from 5-10pm. At the Hardy and Nance Studios, 902 Hardy St, Houston, TX 77020. Many of the participating artists, including myself, are attending.
