The vet always called my cat Helios "your heart cat" and he was that. It was hard to let him go when he got cancer, but it was the last best love I could give him. I also do still feel him around the house from time to time and I am grateful. The love never dies.

What a delightfully eclectic mind you have. From your photographs, I was expecting something more like Jamie Wyeth's animal portraits (esp Wilbur) but your work is ... very different but also a wonderful match of medium and vision.

I had a cat like that. The vet called him "your heart cat." He definitely was that. He passed two years ago and I still "feel" him around the house sometimes. It's oddly comforting to be so haunted.

Stella comes and gets me pretty much every day at 4 o'clock for "quality time" -- getting brushed in the recliner. I don't know how she knows it's 4:00, but she is many kinds of magic. (She is 17 y.o. now, the pic is when she first walked in the house and said "Yes. I could like it here.")
