I've also seen it do the opposite- it's nice when that happens but you're right, it's so often not the case.

I think this is the curse of humanity I've had to come to grips with. Empathy and social awareness aren't the norm. It's an acquired set of principals that a lot of people will live their whole lives without. You can try to make people understand, but you can't teach empathy to people.

I genuinely thought that's what it was too haha. I feel like you either go that route or reboot the whole thing again. Either option makes total sense to anyone with a pulse except this guy, apparently.
