My sister lost the [plastic] crochet poppy she had so she asked me to crochet one for her.

I made 2 (one for me).

Trying out knitting two-at-a-time socks.

Pros: efficient

Cons: frogging

(because when a mistake is made, you're taking not one, but *two* socks off the needles, and hoping you can rethread them correctly 🥴)

You should get this and you both would have matching Halloween costumes!

Maybe he'll be replaced by Lore.
And then they'd have someone talking to a Crystal Entity, which isn't so far from how they govern these days.

Picked up this year's Fringe Festival program today. They went on sale today.

Festival runs Aug 14-24 this year. (This info is woefully missing from the cover, which is unlike them to omit).

I love live theatre. I've been attending since 1993. I used to volunteer. Now I just attend shows!

So, it's hard to count stitches when:
1. I'm using variegated yarn
2. My stitches aren't uniform in the swatch

🥴

Not yet.
I thought I had to wash and block it first before counting.

So a bigger swatch is okay?

I just want to know if I can bind off now or do I need to keep going with the swatch.

This is a better photo with measurements.

So is this a big enough swatch for those instructions?
I feel like I need a few more rows.
And then figure out how to block it.
(I've never done blocking before).
Just wash, then pin out to dry?

I started making these socks in April and just finished them today.

The recipient's birthday is on October (which is why I started in the spring 😄).
I really hope they fit.
Fingers crossed.

At this rate if I'm going to make anyone socks for Christmas, I should probably start in August.

@mementomorty.bsky.social The hotel at the mall in my city has theme rooms like Polynesian, Space, Igloo, Western, etc.

Saw this and thought of you.

There's a Camping theme room at Fantasyland Hotel now?

I wonder if that truck was from the Truck Room.

Here you go.
I've propped them against my steering wheel.
(I'm no longer driving. I've parked my car.)

Great
Thanks

It's the weirdest thing.

When I pulled it out and unfolded it, the Queen was mostly intact. Just a bit of her hair was cut.
