This gave me a laugh yesterday when I really needed one: a restaurant on Second Avenue in Manhattan. And yes, I googled "Thai food near me"when I got home and it was at the top of the search results even though it's on the other side of the city and there are many, many Thai restaurants much closer.

Today is the 113th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, in which 146 workers, mostly girls and young women, died. I've been teaching this to my ESL class of adult immigrants, and they inspired me to take place in the Chalk project today. #TriangleFire #Chalk2024 #StreetPictures

Agreed! I made it (barely, but I made it) to Machu Picchu this year and I not only saw something I had hoped but never really expected to see, I was able to experience so many unexpected beauties in the amazing country of Peru.
