Great Eddie Palmieri x NYC Read 1 | Judy Cantor-Navas' oral history of The Mamboys 1951 single, “La Toalla”/“Abaniquito,” which Palmieri recorded as 14yo, alongside Orlando Marín (later dubbed "The last mambo king") and Joe Quijano. Includes great stories of The Bronx and the mambo music biz.
In 1951, teens from The Bronx named Orlando Marín, Joe Quijano and Eddie Palmieri formed The Mamboys.

Esto Cory Doctorow lo llama con acierto la “enshittification” de las redes. Un proceso que pasó con MySpace, con Facebook, y ahora les toca a Instagram y a X. Tan enfocados en generar ingresos que olvidan por completo a los usuarios (hasta que los acaban perdiendo…)
