É uma bela animação. E muito fiel a obra. Uma pena que o público não esteja prestigiando. Creio que pelo desconhecimento (a campanha de marketing não foi das melhores) assim como pela falta de hábito em assistir esse tipo de animação no cinema.

Tolkien simplesmente seguiu em uma direção diferente. A ideia dos Gigantes de Pedra foi inspirada no “Enta” mencionado em Beowulf, com a palavra “Ent” sendo uma palavra do inglês antigo para “Gigante”...
