Author of grimdark fantasy. Centrist. I'm a guy, so my pronouns are obvious. Strictly chickly. I'm tired of the lack of quality fiction for men like me, so I'm writing it.
Um, it's on both parties, actually. The Dems won't work with the Right. And the Right want to play hardball. Both sides are fucking idiots.

6/6 I'm not on here to debate, fight, get into some drama shit. I just want to talk books, and story. There's too much drama when it comes various political agendas butting heads. I just want us to get along. Leave the fighting between fictional characters.

5/6Personally I'm draw to dark, complex characters. I've never been called woke, but I enjoy variety. I just want the protag to be someone I can relate to, as most readers want that. Hence I'm writing the kind of fiction I'd want to read, but I'm to what other readers think as well.

4/6 I think if a writer tries really hard, they can still write these "evil" races well, and not make half of them goodie-two-shoes. After all, maybe from the perspective of orcs, humans are the evil race? Which is totally cool, the orcs should have their views and culture.

3/6 And as much as I do enjoy an outlier protag, I still want them to be, at the very least bad in the view of other races. A "good" orc shouldn't be soft, and kind, in accordance with our moral compass. Orcs are their own race, with their own morals.

2/6 I like D'rizzt bc he stands out. He's not like the rest. Having the occasional outlier is even more intriguing bc they are rare. The more good dark elves, or the more good orcs there are, the more it lessons the fun of the few good heroes from those races.
