Author of grimdark fantasy. Centrist. I'm a guy, so my pronouns are obvious. Strictly chickly. I'm tired of the lack of quality fiction for men like me, so I'm writing it.

What's up BlueSky? I'm a grimdark author who writes fiction I want to read. I'm cool with readers having different beliefs and tastes, for me personally, I want to get back to the old school protagonists. I'm fine with some nuance, I just enjoy some classic storytelling.

Not every writer is for every reader, and that's okay. The whole point of a genre is to have options for readers who want something different. I want everyone to get what they want out of a genre. Bc I want to enjoy reading as well. There's plenty of room for all tastes.

1/6 I don't mind good orcs or goo dark elves in fantasy, D'rizzt is one of my favorite characters, but I do enjoy it when I read a fantasy story, and the protag comes up on an orc raiding party, and prepares for an ugly fight, bc the protag knows that orcs are scary, and usually the enemy.

It was with some trepidation that I picked up The Knight and the Moth; everyone else loves this, would I love it too?
REVIEW: The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig
The Knight and the Moth, the latest dark fantasy from Rachel Gillig, has been everywhere I look on bookish social media for months.

I originally sent a story submission for this anthology, however, the press received so many stories they liked, they decided to open up a second anthology. I love the cover for this anthology! Can't wait to see the second volume cover.

I won't post anything political, but I will say that I support everyone's right to free speech, and beliefs. To me, that's what makes America great. Live and let live!
