Obligatory haul pic! I only really went to try to get the Assemble starters at MSRP, but I couldn't say no to exclusive Gunpla, especially as I'd been wanting to check out the RG 2.0 anyway. (And the Machu resource card and EG model were freebies!) Definitely worse ways to spend a Sunday.

So I'm not sure if the "workshop kit version" is the same as the Entry Grade, but either way this was a tool-free build that to me at most 20 minutes and its definitely charming despite it's limited posability.

Okay, I know what I said last week, but it turns out I might be kinda good at this game? Game 3 was definitely down to the wire this week, though. (Funny that the more exciting pull was the participation promo I would've gotten either way!)

The one thing being stuck inside sick for my long weekend did for me was give me time to do some more painting. Finished up the Zaku squad! Still getting a hang of how best to use the wash, might go back and tweak some details later, but overall I'm happy with how this one came out.

Another successful Gundam night on the books. Went 2-1 with my ever-improving BR deck, and traded to finish my playsets of Kshatriya and Marida.

Cleaned up my workspace last weekend so I don't have to paint at my computer desk anymore. Here's the first result: the second Zeon's Rush Zaku mini! Also pictured alongside the first one I painted up.

Took down my first 3-0 at locals with my half-finished deck! And the store got more boxes in stock, so I *may* have made a slightly irresponsible financial decision...hard to argue with the results, though!

Guntank! The yellow on the chest vents came out a bit blotchy, I've been having trouble finding the right amount to thin the yellow by. Finally got nice clarity on the smaller yellow details by using a toothpick--I'll definitely be making more use of that technique in the future.

Next up is the Guncannon! The red is way darker than it looks in person. I'm thinking next time I need to either lighten it, thin the wash more, or both. Reasonably happy with the detail on the head, and really happy with how the brown for the dirt came out (since I had to mix that myself)

Also learned this existed today? Probably not going to get into a whole ass other TCG considering Gundam just launched AND I've been on a huge MTG kick, but also for FMA being my favorite anime I don't really own merch for it. And you KNOW I pulled my dude in the little sample booster they give you

Touch-ups done, wash applied. Mostly had the intended effect (bringing out panel lines, the seams between the hose segments, etc.), but I think I need to either commit to the dirty/battle-worn effect and be a little more heavy-handed with the wash, or clean up what lands outside the panel lines.

Needs a couple touch-ups, and I still have a panel wash to apply, but I'm feeling pretty good about this so far for the...[counts on fingers]...fourth mini I've ever painted?

Finally home. No complaint about the pool--an LR and an LR+ in 4 packs is solid! And I placed 3rd overall according to the app. But most importantly, I landed those sweet sweet participation promos. Would've been lowkey devastated to miss out on my boy Banagher and one of my favorite MS designs.

And here's the highlights! Glad I got most of the big marquee Unicorn cards (both Unicorn modes, Banagher, the LR Kshatriya, and Marida). Little disappointed in the alt arts. Well, the Pharact is cool as hell. But who was clamoring for a chase variant of the Gihren Zabi card?
