And yet they managed to find and confiscate my tiny, very blunt, completely harmless keychain multi-tool...

The mlri-tool in question:

I think the car production companies are starting to realize there's a demand for smaller/more reasonably sized pickups. Ford has the Maverick, and Toyota has a new moderately sized pickup on the way. A couple of startups are working on compact EV pickups, too (Telo MT1 and Slate EV respectively).

Here's the Cadbury stuff made in Canada. I know there's usually a Halloween assortment box with a bunch of these.

Wanna bet this is the 'avid cyclist' telling her they don't think Morris needs bike lanes?

The proposal has been updated, FWIW, so the rendering is a bit out of date. www.stpatscrossing.ca

In keeping with tradition, may I propose a cannon instead? The noon departure is free.

Had something similar on my travels in Japan. Became a regular morning ...drink? ...Snack? Snrink?

...yes, totally unsuited to dense urban environments with mixed use transportation... (How insular is our planning community, really? Have they ever left the province, let alone the country?)

50% decrease in ticketing between 2018 and 2023. The peak covid years make sense, sure, but pretty sure the numbers should not continue to decline after most restrictions were lifted. Especially given the population growth.

You may see a very subtle change in polling trends starting around January... May be difficult to spot. (From newsinteractives.cbc.ca/elections/po...)

I mean, the good news is that that's the actual plan with the downtown gateway concept. The bad news is that their current plans would derail it by just moving over to the Centennial Pool site.

My old bus stop in Bayers Lake until that route was discontinued. Second picture is a bit of an extreme example, but it's almost like the plow was trying to bury it. But being filled with snow for days was a regular occurrence.

Too many points on the leaf, shape of the bottom is just very wrong, angles of the top are different. It's pretty glaring, really. Here's the official pattern and how it's supposed to look (courtesy of Wikipedia):

Based on true events... The Canadian contribution was actually downplayed in the movie...

No it doesn't. Only Leo1 that had a bustle rack anything like that was the Canadian LeoC2, and those weren't sent. Also see central driver hatch vs right side hatch for Leo1. Missing air intakes on hull side + a bunch of other details. It's a T-series. Looks like mirrored video of a T-90M, maybe.

FWIW, I think at least some of that is in the current Halifax Common Master Plan. Most of the current paths appear to be reworked. We'll see if it ever happens, but it looks pretty good to my pedestrian eyes? www.shapeyourcityhalifax.ca/halifax-comm...
