Magic travel remains cursed for me. 45 minute drive home from Baltimore, relatively new tire explodes about 20% through the 1.5 mile I95 tunnel under the Baltimore harbor.
Solid 7.5 on the travel incident scale, minor delay but moderate risk, great job, fun had by all.

I think Powered Cube on Arena needs a significant redesign. The biggest issue is that any time you do something fun, the limits of the Arena client show up, and this is even after a bunch of stuff like Doomsday was clearly cut due to this.

MODO Horror Cube is a great showcase of the issues meshing pre FIRE and post FIRE design principles. Lots of cool themes, also God Eternal Oketra which is the 140th best FIRE/EDH card economy era design card and absolutely untouchable.

Thinking a lot about this in context of the 2008 Detroit economy vs the 2025 DC metro one, where the former had PTQs bigger than this and Cryptic Command was sold out at $50 because too many people wanted to play FNM
I set myself a line for spotlight Baltimore, if there were fewer than 300 players on Monday at noon I would sign up. There are 160 players (now 161) enrolled in the event 🤣

I think there's too many things wrong with Spiderman to blame any one thing on the set's failure, but the thing it feels like it caps off on the heels of MKM/OTJ is you need the majority of your work to be earnest to earn a dose of snark, not the reverse.

I really dont understand how they do it for a product locked a year ago, released a month ago, and already unofficially sunset, but Spiderman set continues to find new ways to be terrible
