How can Miami sign De Paul without losing a DP spot? I outlined it in June when talking about Brian Rodriguez. It’s a bit more extreme because De Paul’s fee would be so high but in theory this is possible.

It grew on me the more I saw it on merchandise and the alternate fonts they have. And I feel like it’ll continue to grow on people (and they have 2 years till launch so that’s an insane amount of time). This hoodie is an example of it:

@3rddegree.net asked me this earlier and yes, according to TransferMarkt Osaze Urhoghide is the third biggest MLS CB incoming transfer in league history. You can’t really count Santiago Sosa, who was played more as a CDM, as a CB.

They have no DP spots now that Alba is a full DP. @tombogert.bsky.social reported today that KdB wants Insigne money. If he goes from that to TAM level, which would be from $15m to $1.8m, that would be nuts.

Miranchuk out injured for Atlanta. To be honest… think this might benefit Atlanta’s attack. Him and Almiron occupied the same positions and now… you have Almiron in the spot he was playing and added another winger in Silva. Wrote about it on FAM a few weeks back

Tanner saying that Philadelphia was “prone to playing a boring possession style” of soccer last year is nuts. That’s not backed in data at all. I wrote about it on FAM last week, using ASA’s tables. Here’s the data as of last week: these are not metrics of a possession based team.

Credit @3rddegree.net for finding this pic, but man, it is an insane fumble by FC Dallas to not have these renovations ready to capitalize on the 2026 World Cup. At least NYCFC project their stadium will be done in 2027. Dallas doesn’t expect renovations to be done until 2028!
