True story, I once played Ice Cauldron in a mono-red deck about 10-12 years ago just because I knew what it actually did and wanted to prove that I did. Even used it once or twice.
Was it actually any good? Hell no, but that wasn't the point.

That whole set had a 'pit-fighting' theme/subplot, so I assume that. The whole cycle is various arenas.

I used to have Armageddon in there (it's thematic enough), but the deck isn't good enough to ever actually be ahead on board.
Looks like I could make it a 2 if I just cut Tomb and Tithe, though - and I'm pretty sure the number of nonland tutors is actually zero, lol.
