Thinking about a tour I took of DC where they showed the swatches they do on the monuments/memorials to be sure the cleaning solutions aren’t too harsh.

All the care taken to keep them in the best shape and safe from damage. And I just know these dickheads used super glue to tack these on.

Isn’t this the actual plot of the grinch?

It seems almost like an obvious miss in retrospect. Like, if it bugs you that bad then resign, bro.

Then, honestly, file the lawsuit once you’re not the Other Branch Of Government anymore.

Can’t forget 9th grade civics if you never learned 9th grade civics

(Because they’re all blowhards who scorn knowledge)

I feel like my brain did a pretzel at

“Saying something is "offensive" and that it's "disrespectful"… depends primarily on the dialect of the person speaking to you.”

Like, I definitely speak the former dialect with my extended family and the latter basically everywhere else.

I really like the way you frame tests. I’ve tried suggesting test-first as a development mode but building in hard requirements seems like a good idea.

My workflows around this stuff are still pretty flimsy and I’m trying to get better.

Every year at my physical I ask my doctor for the vaccine and every year they tell me to call insurance.

It felt like someone pulled my nerves out of my chest and back and hooked a 9 volt battery to both ends. I’ll take the vaccine thanks.

I got it without any complications when I was 26. The worse I’ve ever felt in my life and I’ve had migraines and adverse reactions to migraine meds that were truly awful.

I’ve got a friend who also got shingles without issues in her 20s, then again in her 30s and lost partial vision in one eye.

I’m curious do you have Claude write docs for you as well to make it easier for you to pick back up context later? Or do you ever peek into the AGENTS .md to get up to speed with what it’s doing?

It’s so important that we make this specific group of 6 people completely irrelevant on day 1 of the next dem administration.

It’s of the utmost importance that their Wikipedia articles have no further entries in the “career” section.

So the thing is… this guy is a fucking idiot.

I’m genuinely unsure if he’s able to string together two thoughts into a third though without hurting himself by accident. From his blog…

“I can’t tell the difference between bombing a group of men to death without jurisdiction or due process and arresting a group of men suspected of a crime for detainment and prosecution” is potentially more disqualifying than falling for peek-a-boo.

Having read this post back to myself, I’ve decided it was too nice.

I’m laughing at the guy who dug through 15 years of Wikipedia article history to find a map and then totally whiff the point he’s trying to make.
It seems they went to the 2011 (?) version of the Wikipedia page to get this??

This is a writing style that sees sermons in church as the highest literary/rhetorical form.

And people who write and think this way tend to think anything more sophisticated or carefully reasoned is just pretending or obfuscating.
