I kinds dislike block/mute lists because they require trusting another third party. Its pretty implausible to audit these lists to see if they’re doing what you expect, especially if they aren’t based on an objective criteria, and instead up to the creators whims and biases.

I’ve been aggressively muting politics on my discover feed and the end result has been still seeing political content, but now mainly from spam/bot accounts. The discover algorithm NEEDS me to political content for some reason.
