This feature prevents USB accessories from communicating through the iPhone's port if the device has been locked for a specified amount of time (usually more than an hour).

Bypassing this would give attackers access to user data stored on the device, even if the phone is locked.

"Bug" and "debug" would become standard terminology among programmers.

It was both a literal observation and a playful nod to the fact that the term “bug” was already used in engineering to describe glitches or issues.

Thomas Edison talked about bugs in electrical circuits since the 1870s.

But as a result of the journey entry, the term stuck.
