HS2 Westminsters embarrassment!

HS2 railway line began as a project in 2009 expected to cost £33 billion for 345 miles to be completed by 2026.

Now it’s expected to reach £100 billion for 140 miles and 10 years late!

The Scottish Government has pursued a different social security agenda to the UK as a whole.

Projections suggest that child poverty in Scotland fell between 2022-23 and 2024-25, while it rose in England.

Under current policy assumptions, rates are projected to diverge further.

What cataclysmic event will it take to get Scottish unionists off their knees. A rich, oil-producing country now has no capacity to refine oil. One of the cradles of the industrial revolution is being asset stripped to ensure dependency on England. We must be independent to survive, then thrive.

Yet the UK government is supporting data centres in places like Cambridge where there is no local energy generation, the grid is at capacity and there’s little water available as a coolant 🤷‍♀️

Why is it important to save the only virgin steel producing plant in the UK but not the only oil refinery in Scotland.
Both use old technology, have big losses and require significant investment to convert to new technologies albeit Grangemouth far less.
The future is Green Steel why save it?
