Isn't it sad that two people that love each other can't get married because they can't afford to?

Isn't it sad that I have to spend so much time fighting for myself and my love because of how everything works in this country? Isn't it sad that in order to make it, everyone in the family has to be working just to make ends meet?

With possible life and death decisions on the line for my love, knowing his wishes, and with his Dad's side of the family about to arrive, I fear his desires won't be met--all because we're not married. All because our systems are broken. All because...

I am legally blind and receive disability through my dead Dad's retirement benefits. He passed away in '99. But it's more money than I'd be getting on SSI.

That said, on his salary alone, we couldn't afford to live here in California where he works if we were married.

Stand with us, please, or you, too, will vanish with the tide when the next elections come. Because we won't forget what side you stood on when it came to standing with the people.

Justice is blind, but if the other side keeps criming, maybe it isn't political. Maybe you can remind people of that? Maybe the reason they're shopping around for convictions of their enemies and looking for people to lionize is due to fear:

So once again I urge you to continue to let the Repubs and their glorious leader run this government shutdown shitshow. They have no leg to stand on--especially if they were planning on keeping these subsidies anyway.

I would rather we all suffer from their poor leadership than help them.

Understand that #Americans are tired of supporting businesses that don't give a fig about them or only pay lip service to the idea of actually caring about people.

We want real change--not half measures that benefit the wealthy. We want you to stand with us and not to cave to #MoneyedInterests.

But understand that your support for Insurance companies is only a brief win because they're still corporate companies that you're supporting with taxpayer dollars that should be going toward creating a health care system that doesn't require us to be indebted to them.

We don't want a president who only stands for his friends and those who worship him. We want a president who abides by the laws and ideals of our country and who cares more about people than himself.
