As always, traveling reminds me that to make lasting and impactful art, you must first take the time to experience life in whatever way that's important to you. And that's okay. For me, it's always been travel.

Political science-fantasy with rival gods: Separated as children, two sisters search for each other as adults, seeking to heal their family split apart by a prophecy blessing one and cursing the other. Unfortunately, they’ve grown up on opposite sides of a political war on the cusp of explosion. The cursed sister believes in the old gods—the pagan trolls of the ancient pine forests—while the blessed sister preaches the holy word of the new agricultural god from within the safety of the city. Civil war looms on the horizon, pitting shadow against sun as the city continues to log the ancient pine forest to make room for agricultural revolution. Only one person can set the two sisters on a path that combines old with new: a foreigner from overseas who uses technology to harvest the killing power of the sun.

This one was never put up on twitter (and I pretty much deleted all of my pitches that were, lol), but I recently finished the first draft of this project, and I'm quite excited about going on sub with it - hopefully early next year 🤞
The pitch for my latest project: "In the winter of 1899, an artist colony rents a manor along the coastline of Northern Denmark, nestled deep in the brutally desolate sand dunes. Among them is Anneliese, escaping city life to spare her ailing health. One century later, a paintings conservator arrives at the manor. Working for the national museum, Idah has been hired to restore the rare paintings from the old artist colony. Working in tandem, one century apart, Idah restores the paintings that Anneliese creates. As the turn of the year approaches in both centuries, the two women alone know that the manor is destined to fall in a disaster that will stretch across time itself."

The 1st draft of my 11th (completed) novel is DONE.

It's my 3rd new novel since signing with my agent and an entirely new genre for me.
