Aren't dark energy and dark matter just placeholder words for things not explainable by the current preferred model by many? Similar to phlogiston in the near past. Looking forward to that telescope with the stellar coronagraph as that's something new while the other is already covered by JWST.

Meteroid? I won't exclude that for some few cases, but most of those dark seeps on slopes are just happen seasonal. Looks still more like a liquid than dust for me.

Just UV light and magnets below, even with the dust not being magnetic, was sufficient! The light creates unexpected large negative charge and magnetic fields produce the shape. Demonstrated in this 15 minute video from the 2017 Exploration Science Forum at NASA Ames: youtu.be/KULnd8TUxjI
