Smiling Friends: Season 3

Three seasons in and the magical absurdism that made this show such a huge hit has not been lost what so ever. Some all timer gags and visuals.

One of the best produced shows this year. Give me more kanada styled action plz.

Really interested to see what season 2 does as it's seems like the narrative is pivoting away from that aforementioned formula to a promising new central antagonist that was showed at the end.

Yaiba: Samurai Legend

I understand it's monster of the week formula may not be necessarily what western shounen fans are looking for, but this was a winner for me. Really charming characters and fun humor. The animation and visuals paired with this story is a real match in heaven.

It's for the fans my ass.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2

This was so bad. It tries to be scarier than the first movie, but then it fails miserably. A horror movie with no scares is like trying to drive a car with no wheels.

Good set design and animatronics. They are not enough to save this movie however.

Slay the Princess

This was an utterly demented and delightful experience. So many choices to branch the narrative out and the central performances are top-notch. Great game to revisit during Halloween.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Peak Shonen. A wonderfully tightly structured narrative with a great sense of mystery and adventure. Insane levels of polish with some legendary cuts of animation (Praise Kameda and Tanaka!) and splendid music.

The ending is as perfect as it gets.

Great performances all around, but this is Uma Thurman's hour and she crushes it. Legendary work.

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Kill Bill was a major defining film for my tastes as a kid growing up, so you bet your ass I had to find a excuse to watch the combined package of Part I and II in a theatrical format.

Stylish as hell, memorable characters, and is just a total blast.

It looks phenomenal with the most scientifically updated information and shows a vast array of fascinating animals. Tom Hiddleston is also a really solid narrator and proved to be a good pick for this show.

Alright now, where's my season 4?

Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age

It's unreal that this show has existed and has been worked on with an Avengers-level worth of scientists and crew. AND FOR THREE SEASONS!

Dunno if it's my favorite season yet, but that's just speaks to the astronomical level of quality.

Will say that my primary point of criticism of For Good is that the pacing is rather uneven. I think that's just comes with the struggle of having a whole another story attached to it.

The production design is fabulous and the performances (especially from Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo) are fantastic. It's a big bombastic musical and it delivers on that front. Some of these songs are bangers.

Wicked: For Good

That was a solid finale. I can understand why act 2 of wicked is seen as messier and less lively compared to the first half, but Jon Chu and crew really did polished it up.

More confident pacing, greater narrative and character depth topped off with a wonderful villain in the form of Vox. Had a great time. I NEED that third season.

Hazbin Hotel

Watched both season 1 and 2 over the past few weeks with friends and really enjoyed myself. Really charming characters, great music, and very distinctive visuals. Season 1 is fun, if marred by possibly unavoidable pacing issues, but season 2 marks a noticeable improvement.

You can say that it's approach to the subject matter is pretty shallow, but depending on who you ask the whole thing it's satirizing in the first place is a deep as a puddle so maybe it did it's job right after all.

I had a fun time on the whole.

Spree

Joe Kerry carried the whole movie on his back. This could have been genuinely cringe in a not entertaining way, but Kerry's magnetic performance rides the balance of being pathetic while also being a credible threat fine enough.

Do not buy this game if the only reason you're interested is for the campaign. It is very much half-baked and restrained. Cliched plot and characters that I can't even forced myself to give a shit about.

Battlefield 6

This was definitively a much needed return to form for the series after past couple of divisive entries. The multiplayer (I.E what people are going to buy this game for) is excellent and is a cinematic experience that you can only get with Battlefield's sandbox.

That's not even getting into how the expanded tools add so many hours and open the door to let players get hella creative. It's also very pretty to look at. That improved lighting engine does wonders.
