I crashed hard Wednesday. I'm in the red for non-food essentials. I keep getting rejected for survival jobs for being "overqualified."

Even the laundromat trapped my cash: the $25 hold didn't return, it just became "credits," locking my liquid assets.

The Wins: Concrete Poured

• Emergency SNAP: APPROVED. I will have food. • PA Driver’s License: Finalized. I am a resident. • Med Card: Active. My legal shield for employment.

But the reality is the "Overqualified" Trap.

Because of that vulnerability, the evaluator paused. She offered to try to speed the process up by getting board members' approval individually ahead of the meeting.

The system wanted to make me wait, but the human is building a bridge. Now, we wait to see if they agree.
