TN Ledger coming in hot with the absolute worst take on the Nations rezoning:
The Chickasaw Nation once inhabited the land, and James Robertson and tribal leaders met there to sign a pact in 1783 giving the Chickasaw Nation the land until that pact was rescinded. Many current residents might feel they are getting the same treatment as the Chickasaws. Current zoning (five houses per acre) is being chipped away. At least three different neighborhood associations have released statements critical of the rezoning bill, which would shift the properties to RM40, thus allowing 40 units per acre. By the way, the bill, proposed by Rollin Horton, the Metro Council representative for the area, would encompass 620 acres, about half the size of the Hermitage. Horton is about as popular with many Nations dwellers as Andrew Jackson was with those living in the Nations during his reign.

The final design is TBD, but the gist is that it will be much safer to bike between East Nashville and Downtown. Some renderings:
