These are the ceilings of the Utility Rooms of some Passive House apartments we’re building at the moment. It gets pretty congested up there with MVHR ducts, Heat Pump ducts, ventilation distribution ducts and sundry services… #Passivhaus #Passive #M&E #MVHR
The ceiling void over a Utility Room photographed after first fix Mech & Elec, but before the slabs go up. It’s a riot of tangled services snaking in all directions, crossing over and through each other. The larger ducts are wrapped in foil-backed insulation, hot and cold water services are red and blue respectively, circular white ventilation distribution ducts are largely bundled together and various electrical cables weave in and out.
