The reason why Netanyahu is now taking this deal - very grudgingly, against dismay and outcry from his base - is that American leverage was used, in a manner far clearer and more aggressive than anything the Biden was willing to do.

The emerging ceasefire agreement appears to be far more comprehensive, and includes Israeli commitments that Netanyahu repeatedly ruled out "until Hamas is destroyed".
I don't know if it means the "end of the war", but it certainly looks much more like it than anything discussed before.
