nocryptographer I talked with someone who works in book publishing, and they mentioned they get a lot of Al slop these days. I asked how they know what's human-written, and they said that there's one thing that will reveal Al slop without error, and that's the author not knowing their own creation. A real author can talk about their story for hours. They love to elaborate every character, every twist, every detail. Because those existed in their head long before they ever made it to the paper. They were loved before they were written. Al slop wasn't. It was just vomited into existence. Someone who generates their story with Al will never bond with their story the way real writers do. That's why they may not know what to say when they're asked _why did the character do this_, or even remember the scene in the first place. It's something they read, not something they wrote. And to a writer, those are not the same. There's a unique bond between the creator and the creation. If your writing doesn't come of you, you'll always lack that. I keep hearing soon we won't be able to tell. And perhaps, in a superficial sense, that's true. But there is a difference. It's not em dashes or repeated words. It's whether the story was made by someone who loves it and cares about it. If the writer's eyes light up when asked _why did the character do that?_ and they start their very own Ted Talk about that specific scene... then it's real.

Well, same, but I was hoping for a gif to match.
One of my Star Wars the old republic MMO characters. "Al." (Alcemen.) She uses the Big Brawny body model, so she's this six foot tall, broad shouldered gal in black and red Demi-armor. As a Sith Pureblood, her skin is a dark red and she has a gold lip piercing in her lower lip. Her eyes glow gold. Her bright crimson hair is up in two pony tails. Because if anyone tries to tell her she looks like a Sith Sailor Moon, she will agree happily and if you tell her that's an insult, she gets to have a fight.

Not only does the book match my skirt, the shirt has pockets big enough for it.
A lavender skirt has a trade paperback shoved mostly into it. The upper corner third of so is peeking out. The book is T Kingfisher's Snake-Eater, but you can only see most of her name and a teeny bit of the beak of the cover's bird.

The other person has their name and profile pic blanked out with red. Nah, pain's in a completely different location and it feels different. I don't have pain anywhere except the column of my neck, and it's not sharp or shooting. And I can feel something in my neck shifting out of place and then shifting back te ani'la momd'alor: Hm. That sounds like some interesting spinal stuff... (May I relay again?) [redacted]: Go ahead. I don't think it's spinal, because it happens on one side of my throat. so uhhhhhh. anyone else ever have this thing where it feels like something in the side of your neck pops out of place and then you can't move your neck or swallow without incredible pain until it pops back in, it's SO ANNOYING usually it pops back into place in a few seconds but i can't figure out what it is or why it happens

What was wrong with the bill three months ago is still wrong today. It abandons 250 years of criminal justice procedure in America. As written, this bill reveals and injures thousands of innocent people - witnesses, people who provided alibis, family members, etc. If enacted in its current form, this type of broad reveal of criminal investigative files, released to a rabid media, will absolutely result in innocent people being hurt. Not by my vote. The Oversight Committee is conducting a thorough investigation that has already released well over 60,000 pages of documents from the Epstein case. That effort will continue in a manner that provides all due protections for innocent Americans. If the Senate amends the bill to properly address privacy of victims and other Americans, who are named but not criminally implicated, then I will vote for that bill when it comes back to the House. Baeres, M.D., Thomas Idorn, M.D., Ph.D., Heidrun Bosch-Traberg, M.D., Nanna Leonora Lausvig, M.Sc., and Richard Pratley, M.D., for the FLOW Trial Committees and Investigators* Published May 24, 2024 Palacios eventually was put on medications that stopped the rapid decline of his kidney disease, clawing him back from the verge of kidney failure. But he needed a miracle if he was going to avoid dialysis or a transplant. That miracle came in the form of a clinical trial looking at the effects of tirzepatide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that's sold under the brand name Mounjaro, on chronic kidney disease. During the trial, Palacios experienced a total transformation in his health and quality of life. His kidney function started to improve dramatically, to the point that he's now classified as having Stage 3 kidney disease-meaning that if his condition is managed well, he can live a long and healthy life, without ever needing dialysis or a transplant. "To say that it's been a life-changer for me is an understatement," Palacios says. "It gave me my life back." He's gone from wondering whether he will live long enough to see his daughter grow up, to making plans for a future that includes him in it. In 2024, a Phase 3 clinical trial found that semaglutide was highly effective at preventing end-stage kidney failure and deaths from cardiovascular disease in patients with diabetic CKD. This trial was ended early for efficacy, as the rate of kidney failure and death was so much lower in the group that received semaglutide it was no longer considered ethical to continue giving patients a placebo.
