Yes I understand and Thank-you but why such a dramatic jump. Like were we misdiagnosing children and suddenly had a breakthrough in detection at some point? Thank you!

Thanks for the response, I understand the population increased but the percentage should have stayed roughly the same all things considered. Instead we jumped from between 0.02% to 0.04% to now 2.76%. I'm not understanding this jump, did we get better at diagnosing it? Thank you!

So before anyone stabs me lol I did a check of autism rates of the 1960s and 70s and we had 2 to 4 kids per 10,000 with some form of autism. Today it is 1 in 36. Can anyone please explain to me when we experienced a huge increase in autism. Explain it like I'm 5 lol Thank you kindly!
