Ok I found it as a link to the draft. NOS looks to be so interwoven it's vanished. Whole document is now a checklist of things to memorise ☹️ including a few scientists' names. Science capabilities totally absent to me, this lacks any science literacies or fluency and is designed for easy testing IMO

How did you even find it? Tāhūrangi is as bad as TKI was for searching stuff. Do you have a link you can share?

This doesn't capture the fullness of the PPTA's kaupapa but it certainly is what I'm seeing in the various schools I work with right now. Teacher health is at risk; the wellbeing of real people and their families is being affected by systems that successive govts have refused to address.

❗The new agreement must clearly outline how to fill teacher expertise gaps and recognise/address the challenging mental and physical demands on teachers in a poorly resourced, understaffed sector. Our rangatahi and kaiako deserve better.

❗Some overseas teachers coming from experience of prescriptive and textbook-based curriculums struggle to form relationships with Kiwi kids and apply the NZ curriculum effectively. Such kaiako require both cultural capability and pedagogical support from already busy teachers

❗Schools are struggling to cover staff absences and lack specialist expertise. Students are missing out 🟰 more demand for maths/science tutoring.

❗Overseas teachers lack adequate support for understanding the NZ Curriculum and NCEA. The in-school staff who could help are already overstretched.
