'Glittering generality' statements is extremely common behavior in dementia patients: i.e., "I don't know what this 6 inch scar on my abdomen is from, but I know 'they' did some kind of surgery", "I know I was in the hospital for a couple weeks, but I can't remember what was wrong", etc.
Trump: I had an MRI and the result was outstanding.
