Manchester United and Tottenham are the two worst teams in the Premier League outside of the relegation zone and yet they're both finalists in the Europa League and both won their semifinal series easily. I know it's not the Champions League, but it's the teams right below Champions League teams.

I think if Ronny Deila solves this problem with Atlanta's defending, it's going to be a really great season.
If not, we may end up breaking both records for most goals scored and allowed in one season.

It's funny when Europeans find out how big of a deal college sports are in the US. They're imagining youth sports when it's more like following a Championship or League 1 team in English soccer. Premier League teams occasionally play players who'd be younger than college players.

I "love" preseason friendlies where the starting lineup is mostly guys who get time in real games but all the goals but one are by guys I've never heard of and may never see in a regular season game.

So the Sandhill cranes I saw in Michigan this summer were MUCH redder than the ones I've always seen in Florida. Merlin didn't even include photos of birds this red for the species.

Went with the eldest spawn looking for red crossbills in the Georgia mountains today. Didn't see crossbills, but we did see hundreds of cliff swallows, at least 6 tree swallows & a honey locust tree with 6 different species of birds present. The photos are garbage, mostly a phone through binoculars.

My daughter just sent me this photo of my dog at the vet. I like to joke that she's too dumb to know she's supposed to hate going to the vet, but the truth is she's just not scared of anything and loves people. Thunder and fireworks? No reaction. Vet gives her a shot? Doesn't even flinch.

I will never support any other MLS team as long as Atlanta United exists, but this Charlotte FC jersey is pretty sweet. Looks kind of like a Smoky Mountain skyline even if Charlotte is actually in the Piedmont just like Atlanta.

I'm not a great photographer and this was just with my phone, but the southern Appalachians have some really nice wildflowers this time of year. Didn't get the flame azaleas even though they're my favorite. Bird's foot violet, dwarf iris and mountain Laurel.

They put in real grass at Mercedes Benz Stadium for the She Believes games. I'm assuming it's partly a test run for when they'll do the same thing for the Men's World Cup in a couple of years.

If we're being honest, Gonzaga isn't the best example of that trope. It's a majority white team, both players and coaches.
