🚨Preprint alert!🚨 Very happy that our lab could contribute to this new aging story by the @lderooij.bsky.social group, building a Human Aging Atlas with over 375,000 profiled endothelial cells, so many insights including a mechanical twist to our aging endothelium.
🚨Preprint alert!🚨What happens to our blood vessels as we age? To begin answering this at the transcriptome level, we built the Human Aging Endothelial Cell Atlas (HAECA), profiling >375,000 endothelial cells from 12 tissues across adulthood. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... (1/9)

🔬 As we near the end of #EquationsForLife, today we spotlight @ar-abdelfattah.bsky.social's Group!
They use the #ReactionDiffussion equation to characterize the process of tissue organization and maintenance in physiology, and how disease disrupts it.

What’s the link between Origami and morphogenesis?

This is the world of Actuation, I’m @ar-abdelfattah.bsky.social, and I’ll share with you insights, experiments and an outlook on how epithelia use mechanical forces to gain geometrical and functional complexity.

very nice and comprehensive. methods to assess tissue stress. thanks for compiling this.
Tissues are dynamic and investigating cellular mechanical states can be crucial for understanding biological processes. But how to do it?

We are @andreasschoenit.bsky.social and @luanger.bsky.social from @bladoux.bsky.social / @rmmege.bsky.social lab highlighting ways to assess tissue stresses.

a very important tool for #ECMatrix enthusiasts!! I'm sure this will come in handy for many researchers.
Our manuscript describing #MatriCom, a web application we developed in collaboration with @valerioizzi.bsky.social to infer #ECM communication systems from #scRNASeq datasets is now available on @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social!

A very informative thread on this emerging field, the metabolic dimension of #mechanobiology!! nicely done.
How is metabolism interconnected with cellular dynamics? We are @emaniou.bsky.social and @hpscenthusiast.bsky.social and through an energy inexpensive process, we will highlight advances in mechano-metabolism and related fields. @epimechfc.bsky.social

Our #TBI project got funded! Driven by what happens when forces are too much to handle, we will engineer tools to traumatize organoids and focus on #ECMatrix dynamics, #mechanobiology, and molecular-to-multicellular tissue organization. Happy to collaborate! Happening @ CeMM

Interested in metal transporters, #SLC, metal toxicity? check out the amazing work of Andrè Ferdigg from @supertifurgalab.bsky.social 👇
PhD student @AndreFerdigg and colleagues report in @LSAjournal on #SLC transporters in metal toxicity. MRP1/ABCC1 protects against arsenic and mercury; SLC39A14 and SLC30A1 sensitize for cadmium; interestingly SLC30A1 modulates cadmium toxicity through zinc levels doi.org/10.26508/lsa...
