Democratic Governor Tony Evers has successfully increased school funding for the next 400 YEARS in Wisconsin by crossing out a few numbers in a bill to change it from “2024–25” to “2425.”

The state Supreme Court just upheld his right to do so.

Four years ago I wrote my inaugural poem The Hill We Climb. Both when I wrote it and performed it, I did so while continuously reflecting on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and Coretta Scott King’s legacy.

However you feel about the Biden Administration, we should all be thanking those who worked in the White House and across the federal government over these last four years. Public service is an impossible calling, and anyone who steps into that arena deserves our respect.

If Berners hadn't INTENTIONALLY poured sand in the tank of the Clinton machine, she'd be finishing her second term right now, and the TFG nightmare would never have happened.

The "Bernie Wing" is full of turncoats and traitors, like Williamson and Gabbard.

Miss me with this bool sheet...Bro.
Unpopular opinion from someone who did vote for her, both times: it’s time for the Bernie wing to take over the Democratic party. This is why. For all of our degrees, our data, our policy prescriptions, and proclamations of empathy, we can’t even articulate to workers why we’re on their side.
Nothing during the Trump years has brought me more joy than people who went to boarding school then Harvard explaining the “working class” (by which they mean “white people who never went to college,” of whom they know approximately zero)

The intra-party MAGA civil war is probably the single most predictable outcome of the upcoming administration. This is a movement that is defined by grievance and chaos. They fundamentally lack the skills to effectively govern.

I am, however, a little surprised that it’s happening *this* quickly.

Republicans are amoral, do not ever play into their framework of trying to argue for some "return to normalcy" or argue about "abuse of presidential power," it is a joke to them, and they don't believe in it.

UPHOLDING NORMS is like engaging in CONSENTUAL SEX. BOTH SIDES need to do it! THERE IS CONSENTUAL SEX WITH ONLY ONE PERSON CONSENTING, and THERE IS NO UPHOLDING NORMS IF ONLY ONE SIDE DOES IT.

The ONLY time a MAGAt ever considers morality is when he's analyzing a Democrat's behavior.

Can someone explain how MAGAts are able to simultaneously believe in so many diametrically opposed conspiracy theories?

How was COVID-19 a Chinese bioweapon that leaked from a lab, but also supposedly harmless at the same time?

The first major race of 2025 is fast approaching—and the implications are enormous. This election will determine the balance of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Susan Crawford is fighting to preserve her seat while her opponent, rightwing extremist Brad Schimel, is trying to grab the tie-breaking vote.

I watch the bizarre ramblings by trump about buying Greenland, and seizing the Panama Canal, and I honestly wonder how the leaders of any country can take us seriously.

He comes off as the drunken buffoon in the bar at last call. It's so fucking embarrassing.

Our message to the media: We are either pushing back on the slide into authoritarianism, or we are enabling it. There is no third option.

Both sides-ism is how we got here. As Christian Amanpour said: “Be truthful, not neutral.”

Just an FYI: when someone from Gen X says “I don’t get it,” we do actually get it.
This is so gross. And it keeps happening. Why not depose him? The case wouldn’t cost more than $15M and ABC would have won if they bothered fighting. I don’t get it.
