I feel like Kou learns nothing or grows beside getting better at fighting. Even then he isn't that good when it comes to aces or one on one. Amuro at his weakest would win. Kou's romance sucked. He had better chemistry with that one zeon pilot for two episodes. At least he wouldn't backstab kou.
