The university can’t be neutral. The university has never been a neutral place. Let’s pop that balloon right away. Refuse that bad fiction of the western university. It has been the site for the production of tremendous harm through “knowledge”.

Kids are people, man.

While it’s important for the law to protect them in developmentally appropriate ways, it’s absolutely essential that the law recognizes the agency and autonomy of minors.

I’m so grateful to Melanie (who I don’t think is here yet?) for bringing us all together.

This paper feels risky, and necessary. It hopes to answer the question of whether — and if so, how — SW education can respond to anti-CRT and anti-trans legislation.
