My dad's war experiences colored his entire life. After his death, we found interviews with him and shipmates. He never said anything. Incredibly revealing, it explained much of his interactions with us. He was a firefighter/small business owner. Unbeknownst to us started our volunteer fire company.

I was 10. The teachers were crying at school. We watched the coverage for hours. My father went. He was as Navy too. WWII USS Suwannee. Battle of Leyte

Yep, it's a challenge. After a week without Dot's pretzels, Hersey Dark Chocolate Kisses, and Little Sweetie Conchas, I lost 2 pounds. I concluded losing weight is quite possible if I want to give up living.
