Live hard and leave a corpse that makes the mortician question their career choice.
I read this as, "We don't want to set precedent now, because a Democrat president might get away with things that we're fine with Trump doing."

I think if Trump sent troops to arrest the liberal justices, the conservatives allow it under the shadow docket.
Amy Coney Barrett defends heavy use of the shadow docket: "If we wrote a long opinion, it might give the impression that we have finally resolved the issue, and in none of these cases have we finally resolved the issue."

In an age where food has become more expensive, Americans love to make and watch videos where food is wasted for the sake of clicks and likes. Simultaneously, Americans act like they're so impoverished and that they suffer more than anyone.

Maybe we're all just spoiled brats.

The weird thing about Trump is how he has encouraged his followers to use violence, but his attitude about January 6 is denial.

Yup, I recently lost a fist fight with my doctor, and he forced Tylenol pills down my throat. The worst part was his maniacal laugh - which ought to be against the Hippocratic Oath.
Trump: "I just recommend strongly that you don't use Tylenol ... I just want to say it like it is. Don't take Tylenol. Don't take it! Fight like hell not to take it."

We talk about AI, and I wonder if it truly meets the definition of intelligent or if AI is just a more sophisticated algorithm than has ever existed.

Also: does AI actually improve anyone's life and/or job? Or does AI just make an end result more difficult to achieve than normal.

When I read this, all I could think about was the word lickspittle.
Vance is “fine with people telling jokes”! 🛋️

Cruelty for the sake of cruelty. There can be no defense of treating children this way.
One of the most shocking things I have read for a while:

I oppose the Trump administration's immigration policies, not because it affects me personally or someone I know. I oppose the policies because they're wrong, and they're going to hurt people for the sake of cruelty.

They have the executive branch, the legislature, and the courts. Even if elected Democrats have the spine/ability to block appointments and legislation they cannot stop what is already happening.

Agreed on this. One thing I have noticed is that it's not just Netflix, but all the big streaming services do this. I wonder if the companies just don't want you to be interested in the talent behind movies and series? Perhaps a conscious effort to minimize the work of talented people?
Netflix - please stop minimising the end credits of movies to suggest something else. Let viewers enjoy the soundtrack and see the cast and crew that worked on the film. We'll exit it ourselves when ready to.

Because I can't just pick one movie, I love episodes I - VI.

After Force Awakens I wanted to love the Disney trilogy, but they let the fanboy reaction to Last Jedi drive them in a bad direction.

Trump will continue to say and do horrible things, but with his win we have evidence that all the screaming about him is losing it's effectiveness. Starting now fighting Trump will mean doing it in a more quiet fashion. The screaming and yelling should be reserved for his most serious actions. 1/

Yes, I voted. I am doing my part to ensure that the decomposing pumpkin doesn't get back into the oval office.

Here's to getting our first woman president elected!
