Another reimbursement check is arriving soon for my overnight EV charging. These reimbursement checks make my EV charging cost only about $15/month. This demonstrates why the fossil fuel industry is funding the collapse of the US government. Unless they do that, they will all be out of business.

Celery is one of the best #vegetables to grow hydroponically. If you harvest only 1/3 of the stems at a time, the plant will continue to grow and produce for a very long time. One of my #celery #plants is now 14 months old.

The new license plate frame I bought to put on my Chevrolet Bolt EUV. Thought it might look nice on the EV while it is charging in my driveway.

Same day we received our latest reimbursement payment for #EV #charging, we also received notice of our new contract. The price per kWh is going up about 3 cents over last year's rate, but that's because the utility co.'s rate is increasing. This rate can't be increased while under contract.

My data this month from Recurrent on the state of my #EV . I don't go out of my way to keep the charge between 20% and 80% and just recharge to 100% overnight each night, so my average state of charge is 86%. It's winter so the range is down a little bit but not bad. I've saved a buttload of money.

I have had so much fun reading J.M. DeSantis' "Chadhiyana" comics. This is a really good creator-owned series. The story is great and the artwork is really nice.

I engage in a lot of radical behaviors and one of them is growing #hydroponic #vegetables, #fruit, and #herbs all year long. The industrial farms can't infect you with salmonella if you don't use their products.

Funniest email I've received in a while. My local Chevrolet dealer emailed to let me know my Bolt EUV is due to an oil change. It's an #EV . It doesn't need oil changes. Gave me a good chuckle.

My comic book haul today: Four issues of "Green Arrow" including the 2024 annual and the first two issues of "Black Canary: Best of the Best." I've been a huge fan of these characters since the "Quiver" storyline from Kevin Smith and Phil Hester back in the early 2000s. Very compelling characters.

Level 2 charging is cheaper than DC fast charging and there should be more of it. One on road trip it cost 32 cents per kWh on level 2 and on the other road trip it cost 50 cents per kWh. Level 2 is cheaper to install, easier to maintain, and less expensive.

I went to an #alpacas #farm near Princeton, NJ today and fed the alpacas, then went into their gift shop and bought socks made from the wool of the alpacas I had just fed. This is how life should be. Not factory farms and mega-conglomerates. It's better for everyone and the planet.

Just successfully jailbroke my #Sodastream. Now for only $4 more than an official Sodastream tank, I can get six times the amount of CO2. I found a #beverage distributor who was willing to sell to me.

I went to a #game convention near Philly yesterday and came back with 5 new #games. I took my #EV but there was no on-site charging so I needed to make a DC fast #charging stop on the way home. 1st Station was down but the second was no problem. Such a great way to travel.

The Superfuzz BBS for #Meshtastic users in NJ/NYC . The #BBS is contained entirely in the electrical box and the terminal is the Spec 5 Nomad Meshtastic #Computer that my wife gave me for Christmas. I'm keeping everything on the desk in the office in our house. This has been such a fun project.

Made more progress with my #meshtastic BBS build tonight. I flashed the OS onto a micro SD card and loaded it into the #aspberrypi Zero 2 W then mounted the Raspberry Pi and a Wisblock LoFa radio into the case. That's all I had time to do tonight. The Raspberry Pi computer board is absolutely tiny.

Just learned that my membership with NJPBS gives me a discount on tickets to the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. We love going to their "Shakespeare Under The Stars" shows in the summertime. During their performance of "The Tempest", they worked in the private planes flying into Teterboro Airport
