NGL, I hadn’t anticipated having $30 extra every month because I’d no longer need to pay for Paramount+, Disney+, and Hulu, but I’m kinda glad to have extra time to read & garden! Am I super bummed to miss out on the new season of Only Murders in the Building? Absolutely. 🙁 But… 😐🤷🏻‍♀️⛓️‍💥

Just watched a kid in Minneapolis, with no political leanings, innocently say on the news, “We practice for these, but I never thought it would actually happen.” It baffles me that kids have to *practice* running active shooter drills at *school* & now church like it’s normal. Let that sink in. 💔

Just breaking my self-imposed digital silence to prophesize that the @colbertlateshow.bsky.social writing is likely going to be epically gloves-off 🔥 in its final months. A laughably bad decision; all but ensures 🙏🏽🤞🏽 that Stephen’s next gig will be even more iconic & the 💰won’t be going to CBS! ⏳

Important examples of debunked and fact-checked misinformation and #disinformation on the latest India-Pakistan conflict triggered by the killing of unsuspecting civilians and tourists in the attack at Pahalgam. #OperationSindoor #India #factcheck #medialiteracy
#Thread India launched an attack on several sites in Pakistan as retaliation for the killings of 26 civilians in Kashmir last month, Pakistan claims to be responding to these attacks. However, #misinformation is being shared on SM with old content

Dear @thedailyshow.com - My husband, the engineer and math whiz who was thrilled by the light saber—Sith Lord connection, would like me to bring to your attention this fixed version of the chart that Jon used on tonight’s episode. 🫣 Yes, I am acutely aware of the nerdiness quotient here. 😎 🙏🏽

My response: “Well, I just started following an account called Daily Bunnies to get a dose of fluffy bunny content everyday on BlueSky, so you tell me how you think it’s going…” 😶

‘Environmental health’ IS public health. The NIH-cuts-induced unavailability of crucial peer-reviewed research is likely to have far reaching impacts; not just on policy, decision-making, science communication, & public awareness, but also on public health & safety.📣

I love survey design but when the GAD-7 questionnaire asks how often in the last 2 weeks, I’ve felt a) nervous, anxious or on edge; b) like I couldn’t stop worrying’, & no response option can reliably measure the frantic screaming in my head, a ‘Nearly every breathing moment’ option may be needed. 😣

Today’s daily reminder: It’s great to have a moral code & perhaps even aspire to be an idealist but, if, despite repeated proof that they have no track record of telling the truth, you’re still “surprised”, “shocked” or “appalled” that someone lied- again -you may be confusing reality with Utopia.🤷🏻‍♀️

Ever had to stand in front of a room full of people & make sense non-stop for 24+ hours; no rambling; no sounding like you can barely string together a coherent sentence; & no sleep? Me neither. Now if the DNC could only emulate the spirit Booker & his tag-team mates exemplified & DO what matters🤞🏽

How you have to leave your seat even if it’s only for 15 seconds because if you simply get up and walk away, your German shepherd considers that as an act of concession and promptly “captures” your spot so you then have to scan the room for another spot while looking like an aimless flamingo. 🦩 🙆🏻‍♀️

Yet another example of why I will emphatically disagree with people who think Elon Musk is some kind of genius because he claims to be doing radically different things, like calling LiDAR “a fool’s errand” 🙄… but then going on to invest in it substantially 😑.

Honest question for vocabulary geniuses - Is there an English word that encompasses the comedy, the emotion, the deep irony, but also the sometimes profound gravity, pain, and despair felt simultaneously, each time you realize that what qualified as a parody 15 years ago is now legit reality? 😳
