Amazing how I can go from feeling great to wanting to yeet myself directly into the nearest volcano in like 10 seconds

Finally had the desire to sort out my kitchen. After Dave died I just couldn't do anything. There's been so much going on that there was clutter everywhere. Now I can see most of my kitchen table and I've filed away so many documents. Feeling pretty proud of myself tbh

I know it's silly but it feels like the universe just gave me that sewing machine as a "sorry dude, have this" gesture

More than 300 now! Historians say TRANS RIGHTS.
Lee's not exaggerating.

250 historians of/in the UK just signed this letter that *specifically* excoriates the Labour Party for enacting this anti-trans bigotry.

Historians don't fuck around when it comes to condemning monsters, nor the cowards who stood by and let it happen.

Life is weird right now but finding what I suspect is a fully functioning, good condition Singer sewing machine ON TOP OF A BIN has cheered me up a bit. Looked them up and they're £175 new.

I'll never understand why people don't sell or give away stuff like that instead of throwing it if it works?

Tw: death, suicide

In shock still about Uncle Dave passing away. We're still waiting for a decision on cause of death. We're terrified it was intentional, and after losing Trev like that I don't know how I'm going to handle it

I'm listening to the Bed of Lies podcast and it's so weird because I knew a fair few people affected by it.

Great, because what we really need is a food delivery service where the restaurant making the food gets screwed, the person delivering the food gets exploited and the person eating the food goes into debt to pay for it.
DoorDash and Klarna have signed a deal where customers can choose to pay for food deliveries in interest-free installments or deferred options aligned with payday schedules.

Why is it fucking impossible to find an NHS dentist?! My teeth are falling apart and everywhere is just SURVEY SAYS NO.

I need a root canal, an extraction and fillings but I'm not having any luck. I'm worried I'll be toothless before I get an appointment

Thursday were great, and now for Silverstein, who tbh I've never listened to but sometimes it's good to check out a band live first. I live for live music, although been going to fewer shows bc I don't have endless disposable income. That's where music comes to life imho

(Although while they're setting up, the turnaround between bands has been hella quick this evening. I'm impressed)

Also 40 quid for Kentish Town Forum is bonkers, although you can play with Klarna now? Things have changed a tonne since I started going to gigs at 14 😂

Most drummers I know could never

Some thoughts:

I enjoyed Bloom, Callous Daoboys are brilliant - i was so confused by their drummer though, (who was wearing overalls and looked a bit like Freddie Mercury if he was a farm dude), he had chillest face I've ever seen of anyone playing drums 😂

Haven't been to a show just for the support in a wee while, but here I am. Kentish Town Forum for the 80 billionth time.
