I think that it is meant to make them seem less person and more draconic. Like how sometimes people write Wolverine as being much more feral and animalistic than other runs. But yeah they totally did it entirely wrong and it comes off as fetish content actually.

I do not like Taash using "nonbinary" because it is not a word of the world. To have "nonbinary" you must first have "binary" and that does not exist within the world of thedas as WE understand it irl. Yes, man and woman exists, but it is not seen as a binary gender. Just gender. there's no cis ppl

I love how my trans rooks are portrayed. How my nonbinary rooks never explicitly state they are nonbinary. I LOATHE that my inquisitor has the option of having a male body yet retains the pronouns and voice tied to the marker of "man" and "woman". I do not like Taash using the word nonbinary.

Weekes, why make them multicultural and give them this struggle only for it to be reduced to rook essentially going "I don't care, pick one and lets go." and why is it ROOK'S decision? #dragonageveilguardspoilers

My rewrite also goes more into their struggle with their cultural identity, because in no fucking world does it make sense for them to pick and choose what side of culture to identify with and I find that you are forced to make them choose 1 or the other disgustingly disrespectful

I can never thank you enough for writing a character I can see myself in so deeply, who portrays DID so well without demonizing (haha) it, be it intentional or not.

"It's like you're trapped in your own body, seeing out your eyes, while someone else moves you like a puppet." Lucanis doesn't experience this. His experience is much more akin to the switches between alters that people with DID like myself experience.

It goes beyond Lucanis being posessed by a demon, moreso he is sharing his body with another being. When Spite takes over, Lucanis has no recollection, unlike when Justice took over Anders in DA2, who describes the experience to be akin to depersonalization/derealisation:

Everything about him I can relate to: not being aware of what Spite does, being afraid of him due to perceiving him as dangerous and thus keeping him in, to even the codex making a point of telling us that Spite's handwriting is different. It is so deep and nuanced.
