I saw someone online compare the Grayson/Ward trade to Luka/AD and I think we can all agree now that the internet was a mistake.

The hot journalism story of the day reminds me that journalists love redeeming other journalists who don’t deserve to be redeemed.

Not to ruin a narrative, but the Dodgers were bankrupt 14 years ago. This ownership group overbid because they knew revenues could be maximized. How many other teams - including the Orioles - could be making a lot more money and investing it into the field?

If nothing else, intentionally walking Ohtani for the rest of the series is going to rob us of @slangsonsports.bsky.social’s incredible array of Shohei Stats.
Shohei Ohtani has 8 home runs this postseason, all batting leadoff

That’s two more than any other player in postseason history out of the leadoff spot in a single postseason

This movie is going to be the incredible.
Indictments against current and former NBA players, including a well-known head coach in the Basketball Hall of Fame, were unsealed on Thursday, in a pair of criminal cases that involved the coordination of Mafia families and professional athletes. nyti.ms/47hwcGM

I tried to be open-minded but nope, still mad about 1982. Go Dodgers.

Dear @mlb.com - when I’m listening to a game on your app, could you PLEASE update the ads? I know Mike Piazza hit a home run in the Mets’ first home game after 9/11, I know what an Oppo Taco is, and I’m begging to hear literally ANYTHING ELSE.

This hurts. But it’s really true.
Embrace the liberating truth that you're not paid to be a sports executive or a political strategist, and you don't owe these people constructive criticism!

Considering what fans went through from 2018-2021, the fact that there are three American League East team in the playoffs and none of them are the Orioles is an embarrassment. The off-season activity better acknowledge that embarrassment.

But somehow I keep seeing pictures of cats.
1. Bluesky doesn’t downrank links
2. You can choose your own algorithm from among thousands
3. The whole app is open source

This keeps it a free and open platform by design, leading to better click-throughs and traffic to your site.

I was in Vegas in 2009 at a bar with a buddy the night of Hatton-Pacquiao. After the fight his team wanted the area we were sitting in. Instead of kicking us out, they built the cordon around us and suddenly we were part of the post-fight party. A solid guy and crew.
In a career spanning 45 fights - 22 were world-title contests - Ricky Hatton built an army of fans to whom he was a hero.

His brilliance inside the ring was matched by his personality outside of it. That's what made him loved by everyone he came into contact with.
