Lo mismo en mi edificio (Gandía)-cubierta instalada hace 2 meses. No hubo manera de convencerles de que hicieran una reforma energética, ni siquiera con ayuda del ayuntamiento ("A quién le benefician las obras?") y nos acusaban de tener ideas raras y no entender como van las cosas (por extranjeros).

But my point is this: it’s not only about Zelensky’s personal approach to corruption; instead, changes in Ukraine president’s approach to corruption & EU integration follow broader geopolitical patterns in building sovereignty and establishing regional power.

Of course, this shouldn’t be exaggerated—over the next few days/weeks, we'll see whether Ukraine's civil society can impact the decision (as @popovaprof.bsky.social argues), & whether European institutions can still activate the mechanisms to fight a law that's corrosive to democratic resilience

In general, it's possible that in the current context, issues of corruption, human rights (e.g. new draconic immigration laws in UK & elsewhere), welfare, and rule of law are deprioritized. So, Zelensky’s government’s rollback of anti-corruption institutions may well be a strategic adjustment.

In general, it's possible that in the current context, issues of corruption, human rights (e.g. new draconic immigration laws in UK & elsewhere), welfare, and rule of law are deprioritized. So, Zelensky’s government’s rollback of anti-corruption institutions may well be a strategic adjustment.
