A guest feature: my DnD friends just got a new puppy (right) named Poppy. Her sister (left), Pickles, only likes Poppy when she’s sleeping. She’ll even tolerate Poppy’s want of being right on top of her during nap time.

No, they do not share a crate. But Zoey prefers sleeping in one, and Nana is finally figuring out how to go into her crate on command, so cute stuff like this will hopefully continue to happen.

Just a video of all three dogs drinking out of one water bowl. Mona and Zoey will drink out of it together every time it’s filled, and Nana just needs to be placed next to it to join in. My favorite thing.

The dogs have taken to sleeping between my partner and I. While I enjoy their newfound closeness, I do not enjoy them getting in between mine and my partner’s lol

A nice mid morning cuddle my partner sent me while I was at work over the weekend. We used to be afraid to let Zoey and Nana sleep out of their crates. With time, trust and a willingness to clean up, they’ve made our mornings that much more meaningful.

Zoey is handling her cone as well as you’d expect. She has figured out she can beat us awake with it, can hit things to increase noise and attention, and can still like her cooch. So, not well at all.

Mona has been with me since I was living in a two bedroom with four roommates at 19. She has a bed, is allowed in my bed, and still chooses to sleep on laundry piles like she did when we were both far younger.

My favorite moments are when all three dogs are cuddled up and asleep. I love the chaos they bring to my home, with their running and playing and hollering. But I’ll be damned if it doesn’t feel good to see them happy and sleepy after a day of being loved and having fun.

My partner found Nana walking around a neighborhood. She crawled out from under his work truck, growled at him, then wagged her tail and went belly up. We brought her home with the intention of finding her owners or rehoming her to a friend. However, four months later…..

As seen below, Zoey and Mona have an antagonistic relationship. That relationship is Zoey antagonizes, and Mona tolerates. When Nana first joined the family, Zoey tried to beef with her. While it’s not Nana’s favorite pastime, Nana does occasionally forget they are in different weight classes.

All three dogs have assigned spots on the bed. Mona likes to lay in between my legs, like an extension of my body pillow. Zoey sleeps between my partner’s feet, sometimes hiding under the bed when she feels crowded. And Nana likes to sleep on or behind my partner’s back.
