Exacto, y cómo lo diría la gran colega @JimenaHurtado, todo depende también de las preferencias de quien toma decisiones para el diseño de política pública.
Las sociedades modernas tienden a otorgar autoridad a quienes se dedican a la "ciencia".

Por eso, en esencia, el rifirrafe es en torno a si los economistas merecen la autoridad política elevada que poseen para influir en el Estado, por encima de otras disciplinas.
