There are precious few resources available for HC. Spending tens of millions on buildings BEFORE ever even caring for a single patient is unwise.
The buildings will draw HCWs from already depleted areas. It's an $$$ spreading of an already thin HC workforce.

Some of the names are instantly recognizable. Jay Bhattacharya is Trump's pick to lead NIH. He authored "the Great Barrington Declaration" which in 2020 proposed vulnerable people shelter in place while the rest of us catch COVID (in the pre-omicron era!).
