Family Doctor in Saskatoon. Husband to an ICU RN. Father of 4. Saskatchewan born and raised. I want better things for my home province.
$5,800 donation to the Sask United Party by "Anonymous, Anonymous" (which is very much illegal in our province).

$465,000 loan aka donation by the Sask United Party leader's corporation (which is legal).

We need reform of our ridiculously weak political donation laws.

I wrote a letter recently.
Here is the completely inadequate response from our Justice Minister. I guess I am wrong, we have a robust and transparent political donation process.
Silly me.
Pathetic.

Anonymous donation to the Sask Party last year.
$25k from a numbered Alberta Corporation.
No problem?
Not under our outdated wild west political donation laws.

You may have recently seen the headlines/articles: "Alberta task force recommends halt of COVID-19 vaccines in new report"

But who wrote the report. Let's dive in a bit. 🧵

We could sell T shirts?
Proceeds to a good cause.

Any interest out there?

I once asked someone in media about this. It was after Scott Moe appeared in a federal committee re carbon tax in March.

From @tammyrobert.bsky.social (who I don't think is active on here).

I have been one of the people in Saskatchewan beating this same drum for a few years now.

We NEED to change our political donation rules in SK. It is a "boring topic" but I believe the number 1 issue in the province today.

You’ve only emboldened me to continue down this path

Grewal was an MLA when he violated the COI act to the tune of nearly $1M. Deciding not to run in the next election should not confer any sort of immunity from consequences of this.

Moe just looks weak here. Again.

Very interesting piece from our former federal Environment Minister. Well worth a read.

The playbook used by Oilsands companies is very similar to the one that was used by Tobacco companies.

It is lunacy that we allow them to donate huge sums of money to our provincial politicians in SK.

Does the Premier realize that Urgent Care Clinics do not in fact "ensure that people have access to a primary health care provider?"

Urgent Care Clinics provide episodic care, not primary care.

It's a bit alarming to see him so misinformed on the issue.

Scott Moe logic:
In July our inflation rate was low because we weren't paying Carbon Tax on home heating.

Meanwhile, in October when we actually started heating our homes our inflation rate increased and we were 5th lowest because... oh, we won't talk about that.

Imagine if we took the same approach with a bank robber.

Caught you! Now go on and enjoy the money you’ve made but no more bank robbing for you!

My Spotify top 5 artists is better than yours lol

2 swifties, 1 hockey player, 2 Bluey obsessed and my 3 year old went through a phase where she would listen to Waka Waka by Shakira on repeat for hours.

I’m hearing about multiple schools with whooping cough exposures in Saskatoon.

Worth getting a swab if you are experiencing symptoms

Today is World AIDS day. SK has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS amongst all of the provinces.

In January our govt restricted needle exchange programs and stopped funding some harm reduction initiatives, which is likely to exacerbate this.

Absolutely shameful.

Seriously though.

How many years in a row is the govt going to blame farmers for their financial mismanagement? (While also actively working to undermine efforts to respond to climate change?)

Do farmers mind repeatedly being the scapegoat?

Last year I tweeted this.

The Sask Party has a playbook and once you see it you can pretty easily predict the future.

Good relations = 25% tariff on day one.

Premier Moe nails it. 🙃

Oh gosh, they are planning on building more urgent care clinics.

Sounds like Harper is going to be busy in Alberta now. We should probably stop giving him our tax dollars.
