Ten years ago today, Frozen was released. The story of the snow queen and her sister trying to stop an eternal winter, this film from Disney Animation became a massive phenomenon worldwide thanks to its lovely story, gorgeous animation, fun characters, and timeless songs.

One hundred years ago today, Walt Disney Animation Studios was founded. Arguably the most famous and greatest animation studio in existence, the films and shorts they've made in a century have enchanted audiences for generations and changed film history forever. Truly magical.

Thirty years ago today, The Nightmare Before Christmas was released. One of the greatest stop-motion animated films ever made, this tale of the king of Halloween Town discovering Christmas Town is a fantastic film filled with great visuals, memorable characters, and iconic songs.

Netflix has announced that their animation division will be conducting more layoffs, two of their films in pre-production have been shut down, and they're now looking to acquire films from third-party producers rather than producing more in-house. God, I hate this.

Disney just released the 4K remaster of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs today and much like their 4K remaster of Cinderella, it is simply gorgeous. It's like watching the film straight off the original negative. I really hope we get more 4K remasters of Disney Animation films.
