A seeker of shared facts. If we can't agree on where we are we will never get where we want to go

🌈they/them🌈
Banks don't care about being paid back they care about having the maximum number of people indebted to them while being able to stay afloat and give ridiculous bonuses to the people at the top because the more people you have indebted to you the more power you have over everything in the world

A lot of people could contribute positively and have a good life with some special accommodation but a corporate job, a corporate landlord, a corporate merchant, a corporate medical provider, a corporate lender, is not going to provide any special accommodation so those people are left to suffer

I think there will be a brief moment before the robots consider us an unnecessary risk where AI will be super useful

Yay human achievement!

People who consider their actions are less likely to act than people who don't consider their actions

Society is not led by the best people for the job. society is led by the people who took action to put themselves in a position of power

Sadly the shittiest people often just get there first

Corporations are never happy with a good product at a fair price with a steady customer base

They always want a little bit more and will push to the absolute edge of acceptability in terms of profit, labor costs/rights and quality

We want what's solidly fair we don't want to be pushed to the edge!

My problem with a lot of the people in charge right now is that they would rather align themselves with terrible people who have a lot of money over honorable people who have little money

The thing with AI under capitalism is the same as any other technology under capitalism. Any new technology could be amazing for humanity if employed for the betterment of humanity but what's more likely to happen is that it's going to be used by the powerful to exploit humanity

The problem is we treat corporations as people but corporations don't treat people like people

We're getting a full on demonstration of what not being woke is and so far it's not good!

There are alpha males and then there are people who refer to themselves as alpha males. The two are not the same!

If you're wondering why Democrats aren't doing more it's because most politicians don't want to rock the boat they just want things to keep going the way they are as much as possible

The Democratic party will not be our hero

This is the problem with letting wealthy people run our country. They've put themselves in a position where they're nearly guaranteed to be out of touch and emotionally unstable!
megawealth is a curse! you become acutely aware of the needs you have that cannot be satisfied through material means AND you are socially ill-positioned to be in a place where you can experience authentic human connection because everyone around you has every incentive to lie to you!
it is *wild* how a primary effect of unspendable wealth can be making someone incomprehensibly thin-skinned

The thing people need to realize is that the US is performing better than ever for those in charge

Chaos and desperation are good for those who know how to profit from chaos and desperation

Profiting off people living in desperation is evil but the people in charge are not going to change it

Exclusivity has become a selling point for so many things in our culture

How are people not embarrassed to flaunt what other people could not attain

I don't want a life that's exclusive I want a life that I would hope everyone can have

Most people want what's fair

Most corporations will do anything they can to create an unfair advantage

That's the root problem with so many things in our world right now

White supremacists have caved to woke language and started calling themselves anti-DEI activists

What has the world come to!

Your average CEO has already made more money this year than most of the people who work for their companies will make for the rest of the year.

Do they really work that much harder?

It cost over a cent and a half to make a penny

The only reason we still make pennies is because the people who make money by making them have lobbied to keep them in existence

There are better things to spend our time and money on than producing pennies

Nobody needs them

In a company culture where you're moving up or moving out, people are always doing work at a higher level than what they're actually getting paid for

To get a promotion one usually has to demonstrate that they can perform at the level of the job they want, not the job they are getting paid for

Trump money can buy the publicity to get elected

Musk money can bypass the process entirely

Musk's net worth is approx 7,000% over Trump's networth

I don't think people comprehend the difference in power that affords

No one should be able to buy the influence Trump has 7000% that is terrifying

Manipulation through language is definitely a thing that corporations excel at

This is a good video breaking down some of how corporations use language to obscure information

It's not right! We have the resources/knowledge for everyone to be cared for and maybe even not destroy the earth

Currently our resources/knowledge go to one group of people being able to have the experience of having more than others

And they're not even enjoying it

These are not happy people
